Is enjoying his 30th Anniversary as a Latin music DJ and promoter, and is the last
of the first generation of Salsa/Latin music DJs, who has seen the start of the UK
Salsa scene (the early 1980s) and is still working at the top level internationally
today.
Having compiled 40 Salsa/Cuban/Latin music compilations with over 150,000 sales
in total worldwide, DJ Lubi is the ONLY European Salsa DJ to compile titles for the
legendary Fania Records (8 in total plus sleevenotes for 3 titles), and have toured
with some extraordinary artists: Eddie Palmieri,Jimmy Bosch, Wayne Gorbea, Johnny
Polanco, Alfredo de la Fe, Tito Allen, Johnny Blas, Ricardo Lemvo, Issac Delgado,
La-33, La Excelencia, Manolito y su Trabuco, Alex Wilson Orchestra and Bobby
Matos.
His journey has taken him to hundreds of international club sessions, festivals and
congresses since 1996 in 22 countries (going as far afield as Singapore and Los
Angeles) and being honoured with the "International DJ Award West Coast Salsa
Congress 2006" from Albert Torres and "Lifetime Achievement Award UK Salsa
Congress 2005" from Paul Young.
