FAQs
Do I need to register?
No, we run open classes where you come and learn how to dance salsa. We do encourage all to sign up to our mailing list in order to receive information regarding promotions and other TNT news.
Do I need to come to the class with a partner?
It is not necessary since partners are rotated throughout the class.
What do I wear to a class?
Anything you like as long as you are comfortable in it and feel free to move. For the ladies, we recommend at least short heels with a strap so that the shoes are secure on the feet. Dance shoes are optional. Trainers/sneakers are not recommended when dancing on hardwood floors.
When I come to your club, what class should I attend?
Whenever possible it is best to talk to us before entering our classes. Prerequisites for levels differ from club to club and teacher to teacher. We aim to give you the best learning experience possible, and thus try to put you in a level best suited to you.
How do I know I am ready to progress a level?
You are welcome to join a more demanding class level if you have previously contacted your teacher and they have said it is the right level for you. If we feel you are not ready, we will let you know why and give you advice on what to work on.
I am thinking of taking private lessons to get better quicker, is this a good idea?
Private lessons will help you progress quicker as you have 100% of the teachers time. However, we do recommend dancing as much as you can, taking Classes and attending our free Clinics before booking private lessons.
Am I too old for Salsa?
Absolutely not, the Salsa scene is extremely inviting to people of all ages. We may however run into problems with students under 21, as some venues have age restrictions i.e. Bars and Night clubs. Please email us before hand.
